Timing and results system
To ensure accurate and reliable race timing throughout the Championships, an official electronic chip timing system will be implemented.
Each crew will be issued with a single ankle timing chip prior to competition. The chip must be collected from the Control Commission Tent before racing and securely worn on the ankle of the crew member responsible for completing the running finish section.
In Beach Sprint events, only one chip will be issued per crew. Therefore, in C2x and C4x+ events, crews must ensure that the crew member designated to complete the final sprint to the Finish Line is the one wearing the chip.
The official race time will only be recorded when the athlete crosses the Finish Line wearing the chip. Crews are therefore responsible for ensuring that it is correctly attached before the start of the race. Failure to wear the
chip correctly, or crossing the Finish Line without it, may result in the absence of an official recorded time.
Immediately after crossing the Finish Line, the chip must be returned to the event staff. A volunteer will be located in the finish area to collect all chips.
The timing system has been selected to guarantee precise race results and efficient competition management throughout the event. Failure to return the chip may result in additional charges or penalties as determined by the Organising Committee.
